Original research on how the fire service selects, manages, secures and evaluates the technology it depends on.

This site lists what technology exists and explains the problems it is meant to solve. Research is the other half: finding out what departments are actually doing, and saying so honestly, including where the evidence is thin.

Everything here is reported in aggregate. No department, city or email address appears in any figure, and every figure carries the number of departments behind it.

Fire Service Technology Readiness Study

Twenty questions on strategy and governance, asset and lifecycle management, integration and procurement, data, cybersecurity and continuity, training and evaluation. An initial baseline, not a scorecard: no department receives a grade, because there are no benchmarks yet to grade against.
